Surgical and medical insert molding and precision metal stamping have been part of Weiss-Aug Group’s history for over 40 years. In 2016 we launched the Weiss-Aug Group Surgical Products division with a new 40,000-square-foot home in nearby Fairfield, NJ to deliver a truly unique set of product development and manufacturing capabilities designed for medical device and surgical instrument manufacturing.
About Weiss-Aug Surgical Products
With two facilities in the US and an extension of services at Weiss-Aug Group Mexico, our Surgical Products division produces millions of medical devices and device sub-assemblies. Our capabilities include medical insert molding, laser manufacturing, automated assembly, and extensive product development support.
Our History
What started out as a collaborative engineering relationship with a few customers to solve manufacturing issues, has turned into an R&D-driven, product excellence-focused manufacturing plant. Today we help leading medical device OEMs bring to market multiple new technologies, materials, and leading-edge applications every day.
2016 - Surgical Products Division Launch
35,000 SF White room with medical insert molding, laser welding, assembly, and quality assurance capabilities
2018 - LaserLab Technology Center
5,000 SF Lab equipped with 3 high-precision laser cutting and etching machines, 3D printing, and thermoforming prototype capabilities
2023 - Surgical Products New Kensington
11,000 SF Precision Machining location launched with a planned capacity for +10 multi-axis machining centers to produce precision surgical and medical instrumentation and devices

The program manager at Weiss-Aug Group Surgical Products is the day-to-day partner of our customers for the entire lifecycle of a medical device program.
