research & development
Our program development team actively assists customers with developing components by leveraging our manufacturing expertise to bring cost-effective designs and solutions to your manufacturing needs. Our prototyping methodology focuses on decreasing process steps, optimizing material efficiency and turnaround of samples, and paired with exclusive CMM Dimensional data. This ultimately leads to an accelerated development timeframe that reduces cost while creating products with proven performance. Production capabilities range from single parts for test samples to thousands of pre-production parts.
The Weiss-Aug Group Program Managers follow the Advances Product Quality Planning (APQP) process and serve as a single point of contact for customers during the production readiness phase of projects. They ensure all the tool design, tool engineering, quality and manufacturing process needs are completed on time. The Program Management team is responsible for the timely delivery of programs to meet customer launch requirements.
We are capable of processing materials from 0.005 inches to make highly precise parts. Our stamping group achieves precision with equipment capable of rapid stamping speeds of up to 1600 strokes per minute, minimized labor costs, and increased product quality. Critical features are monitored by our in-line 100% Vision feature, with heat treating and tumbling offered through our ancillary processes.
