The New Product Development Technician / Machinist will coordinate activities for the completion of Tooling components inspection fixtures and medical components by performing the following duties.
• Maintain a lean and organized work area for production of medical components
• Document control all Product History Reports.
• Verification of prints per verification requirements as defined by Weiss-Aug Quality system.
• Maintain perishables associated to the Manufacturing operation.
• Wheels for production
• Tooling for machining
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and fixtures
• Maintain data log for preventive maintenance
• Assist in the quotation process when required.
• Perform manufacturing tasks and build fixtures as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must possess a strong mechanical ability.
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be able to communicate through written, verbal, or other means of communication.
• Must work well with customers, both internal and external.
• Must possess knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Must be willing to be trained to operate CNC equipment.
• Must be able to inspect verify dimensional requirements by means of bench top inspection or measurement equipment. With limited supervision.
• Must be able to read prints and assembly drawings.
• Must be able to work from solid models when supplied and identify form fit and function
• Must have good Windows-based PC skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel etc.)
• Must be willing to gain a working knowledge of machining practices and perform manufacturing processes as required-for milling, lathe, Surface grinder, bench work etc. with limited supervision
• Must be able to understand written correspondence.
• Must be able and willing to be trained to perform all manufacturing and supporting processes.
• Must be able to organize work and prioritize tasks. (Lean manufacturing process 5S)
• Must be able to keep thorough documentation of processes.
• Must be able to wear personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
• High school diploma, technical training or equivalent.
