Automation Manager
Description
Manage, quote, design, and coordinate all automation projects in the company as well as manage the automation department, set priorities, and help resolve any problems or issues.
Responsibilities
- Quote/Design new WA built automation
- Project Manager for Automation build projects.
- Is involved in all new Engineering Automation projects to determine and recommend all sensing and automation needs.
- Interfaces with outside venders and automation suppliers to get quotes and manage outside purchases of automation equipment.
- Manage Automation team, set priorities and oversee projects.
- Research and purchase any new systems, equipment, hardware, software, components, etc.
- Hands on programming, wiring, troubleshooting, building, integrating, etc.
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree in Engineering required
- At least 5 years of experience in automation; design experience required. Management experience preferred
- Working knowledge of computer systems, design software, Solidworks, mechanical systems, networking, hardware, software, PLC’s, drives, vision systems, electrical and pneumatic systems, robots, stamping, molding, presses, molding machines, auxiliary equipment, automation equipment, sensors, test equipment, etc.
