Investing in the Future

Investing in tomorrow's leadersWorking with our youth to develop future leaders in our industry as well as to support, promote and inspire young women in the field of engineering is a priority to Weiss-Aug. Our co-op, internship, and apprentice programs are paramount to the future success of Weiss-Aug. We work closely with many of the local engineering schools, such as Steven’s Institute, NJIT, and Rutgers.

In 2021, the Dieter Weissenrieder '76 and Family Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory was inaugurated at NJIT's Newark College of Engineering. It occupies 1,400 square feet of newly renovated space in NJIT’s Mechanical Engineering Center, overlooking the Makerspace. The newly created engineering lab gives students hands-on expertise in machining, process automation, process control inspection and quality control. At its center is a small-scale automated manufacturing system capable of converting raw materials into finished and inspected parts.
