DESIGN THAT'S OUT OF THIS WORLD
Weiss-Aug met the design challenge to create a connector for the Planet Solar Dynamics Observatory on the planet Mars. We worked with the engineering team to help with Design For Manufacturing of the part and precision metal stamped these connectors with insert molding capability for the Curiosity Mars Rover.

EMI/RFI Shielding Ring
Challenge: This part needed to hold tight tolerances during the forming process.
Solution: We designed sophisticated cut-to-length and form tooling to manufacture this part.
Outcome: We were able to manufacture this component to accommodate four different shield sizes used for Aerospace grade ARINC connectors.
